THIS PERSON HAS HEART IN THE RIGHT PLACE.

Dilip Sadiya, a BA second year student, when he complained of fever was examined and a surprise was revealed, his heart was at the right side of his chest.
Indeed he has been maintaining normal health and played cricket and volleyball. He never had any problems, said his father. Even Dilip was surprised when he got the news “ it never occurred to me that my heart may be on the other side. I am surprised how I never felt the need to check my heart beat by placing my palm on the chest. Funny, yes, but it is true” he said.
Only one in one lakh persons are found with this condition.
The doctors said it is a congenital finding and if not associated with other anomalies of heart like arterial vascular disease and venal vascular disease, patients can live a normal life. It is called Dextro Cardia
In the long run, respiratory complications may arise. Even in normal persons, the heart no doubt is located in the left region. But a part of it is turned towards the right, too. In Dilip’s case the contrary is true.
The doctors further said that the organs in the stomachs may also lie on the reverse side. in normal human being , the liver is on the right side and spleen on the left side, but in Dextro cardiac person , the opposite may happen.

THE CHILD IS THE KING

THE CHILD IS THE KING, at least in the realm of advertising.
From every billboard, print, TV ads and in news paper, you will see scores of these little kings dishing out mobiles, gadgets, clothes, and so many other things, even those which are beyond their domain, the children are the best mascots.
They are increasingly becoming the decision makers.
Parents take their opinions even when a new car is to be purchased; they say what looks the best on the roads.
This is what the marketers want most of all.
Public services messages rely on children to drive the message home as it is taken well by the people.
The reason is easy to understand the innocence on the face of child is something to resist, this otherwise would have missed the message by the advertisers.
Parents also place unflinching faith in their little ones knowledge about the technology automobiles goods.
It is a human behavior that a child’s emotional appeal works the best and is a great way to win your consumers heart , the children are the consumers of tomorrow , so better catch them young and make your market secure.
That is the way advertisers and children work hand and hand.

SCIENCE AND SPIRITUALISM

In spite of some much of advancing science we are still posed persistently thru ages, the question, why we are here, where did we come from?
Science is in our daily life.
Can science support our belief in spiritualism, God, or religion?
For some people science and spiritualism are like apples and oranges. For most people science and spiritualism are too different to be mixed.
Einstein put it like this “the most incomprehensible fact about nature is that it is comprehensible”.
Quantum physics and modern cosmology support the oneness of all spiritual traditions, and teachings popularly known as God.

SEX EDUCATION IS NOT A DIRTY WORD.

Sex education has always an irking issue even when it started in western countries, and it is a matter of hot debate in Asian countries, especially in India.
A sex education programme and syllabus developed by the ministry of human resource development, the National AIDS Control Organization had been very irking issue with conservative groups across many states in India, and it was hastily withdrawn.
It is also important to understand the extent of sexual activity among adolescents and the problem of child sexual abuse.
In fact, sexual activities among children enjoys social sanction, thanks to the institution of child marriage here in India, and it is almost true in other Asian countries.
Child sexual abuse is a problem in India that cannot be brushed aside. A recent study carried out pointed that 53% of the child respondents were abused at least once and that majority of children did not report sexual abuse or rather to say they did not know what had been done with them.
South Asian, and particularly India, is known to be one of the biggest sources and destinations for human trafficking. Young children, both boys and girls, are trafficked for commercial sexual exploitation.
Given these facts of India and Asian countries, sex education is a need of this hour, at least the children at the age of 14 should know the fact, the risks, and most importantly the consequences.
The countries, which have banned the sex education in the school, are not reading the writings on the walls.

VIOLENCE BY TEENS – PROBLEMS, ARE ELSEWHERE.

There are number of cases reported in press or TV as to how the children or teens at a particular school have beaten up the other children or even shoot out another student or even the teaching staff.
The cases of this nature are not purely juvenile cases of laws; it has a rather social factor added to it.
It is a mistake to believe that only adults can have the stress, the children do have their stress, the competitive edge of the education, the over-exposure of violence in cinemas on TVs, , the lack of supervision by the parents, the divided parents, and the careless approach of the educational institutions. All these have little by little contributions about the violence by children.
That the access to the weapons itself is a matter of investigation, but the fact that parents and the school have not bothered to make the children aware of the sense of law and order is the major factor. The increasing number of divided families, parents divided, with nobody to monitor the children as to make them aware of what is proper and what is not proper, is the basic need of this problem.
The major social institutions have devised the plans.
Communication between the children should be open both at the school amongst themselves, and the family level, among parents.
The environments at the home must be calm; the violent parenting can be a source of anger within the children which may outburst at the school.Teachers must build an excellent rapport with the children, their thoughts and activities like disputes amongst other students, their complaints etc should be addressed in a humane way. A child who is being bullied by other students must be taken care; the bullying activities of the students must be dealt calling the parents. And the last but not the least the children must be made aware of the law and society, that his duties and responsibilities to the society and family.
In short, treat the child as a human, and make him aware that is wanted in the family.

TECHNOLOGY IN DAILY LIFE.

Technology for daily life, for some it is an added facility, for some it is a status of symbol, for some others it is a bare necessity.
Every day, new mobile phones, with cameras, internet and so many other things are crowding in the market.
There are so many other things, i pods, cameras, watches, mps; one shall see so many things in the market.
The youngsters sometimes just cannot wait for the products to land in India, they shall purchase from abroad.
Youngsters would spend their entire month's salary or just save their pocket money for the latest model of mobile.
Whereas the technology has an added advantage, it is really making sometimes needless spends.
The danger lies not in the gadgets with added benefits but between the necessities of changing over. It is dangerous to keep changing gadgets as a fashion, rather than as a facility or necessity.
